NAFTA as a National Security Priority

Implementation of the NAFTA agreement required both Mexico and the United States to transcend historic patterns of border management and create a mutually beneficial security structure. Today, the United States has sophisticated and ongoing security collaboration with Mexican counterparts. A repeal of NAFTA would threaten to reverse the clock to a less secure era.
